Install SportSpot as an App

Benefits of Installing

Installing SportSpot as an app gives you:

  • Quick access from your home screen
  • Faster loading times
  • Push notifications for reservation updates
  • Offline access to some features
  • A full-screen, app-like experience

Enabling Push Notifications

To receive updates about your reservations:

  1. Installing the app (check below installation guide), open it
  2. When prompted, allow notifications
  3. You\'ll receive updates when you reservation status changes.

Note: Notification permissions can be managed in your device settings at any time.

Installation on Android (Chrome)

  1. Open SportSpot website in Chrome browser
  2. Tap the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right corner
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. Select "Notifications" then "Allow notifications"
  5. Exit Settings, Tap the three dots menu (⋮) again
  6. Select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts
  8. The SportSpot icon will appear on your home screen

Installation on iOS (Safari)

  1. Open SportSpot website in Safari browser
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Edit the name if desired, then tap "Add"
  5. The SportSpot icon will appear on your home screen

Installation on Desktop (Chrome/Edge)

  1. Open SportSpot website in Chrome or Edge browser
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (usually on the right side)
  3. Click the icon or go to menu → "Install SportSpot"
  4. Click "Install" in the popup dialog
  5. The app will open in its own window

Troubleshooting

If you don't see the install option:

  • Make sure you're using a compatible browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge)
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Check that you're connected to the internet
  • Some browsers may require you to visit the site a few times before showing the install prompt
