1. Find Your Perfect Field

Search for a field using location and time, or search for a specific place by name and select a field from that location.

2. Choose Your Time

In the field page, you can update the date and time as needed. The page provides helpful reservation information including:

• Minimum booking time
• Times the field is unavailable, including periods the owner has closed
• Which start times and durations the field allows
• Already reserved times

3. Make Your Reservation

Once you select a date and time, you'll need to :

• Login using your player account.
• Make the reservation.
• Pay the 1 JOD reservation service fee from your wallet within one hour. Top up your wallet (5 or 10 JOD) when needed — new players get a 1 JOD welcome bonus. If you cancel, the fee goes back to your wallet; how much you get back depends on when you cancel — see our Terms & Conditions. This is separate from the field rental, which you pay in cash at the field (SPORTSPOT can't see, process or store your payment information).
• Get a confirmation notification once your payment is verified. Install SportSpot as an app and allow notifications to receive alerts — you can always read them later on your Notifications page.
• Remember: you are booking the field to play the sport it is listed for. Fields are not available for parties, celebrations, or any other non-sporting occasion.

4. Manage Your Reservations

Use the "My Reservations" link on the main page to:

• View your active reservations
• Check reservation status
• Cancel reservations if needed

5. Create or Join a Match

Players can create a match or join an existing open match:

• When creating a match, select the field, sport, date, time slot, number of players, and match type (Ranked or Friendly).
• Open matches are visible to other players who can join and pick a team slot (Team A or Team B).
• When all slots are filled, a field reservation is automatically created for all match participants and everyone is notified.
• Private match: tick "Private match" to create an invite-only game that is not listed publicly — share the generated link with your group (e.g. WhatsApp). Private matches are always friendly. When enough people join, the field is reserved automatically just like any other match.
• Required level: you can restrict a match to a single skill level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond) or leave it open to "Any level". Only players at that level can join, and the match is hidden from everyone else — though you can always join your own match. Private matches are open to any level.
• Field cost: the field rental amount is shown while you create a match (as an estimate as you choose the time slot) and on every match listing. This amount is paid in cash to the field owner in person and is separate from the 1 JOD reservation service fee.
• Leaving a match: you can leave any match you joined up until it starts. If the match was already full, leaving cancels the field booking — the organiser is refunded under the standard policy, the slot goes back on the market for anyone to book, and the match reopens so someone else can take your place.
• Waiting list: found a match that is already full? Tick "Also show full matches I can wait for" in Find a Match and tap "Notify me if a slot opens". If someone leaves, everyone waiting is notified at once and the first to tap the notification gets the slot — so it is worth being quick.

6. Ranked vs Friendly Matches

Choose the type of match that suits your goals:

• Ranked: the result is recorded and affects your competitive rating and tier. All tournament matches are automatically ranked.
• Friendly: casual play with no effect on your ranking. Score submission is not available for friendly matches.
• Select the match type when creating a match. You cannot change it after creation.

7. Score Submission & Ranking

After a ranked match ends, the result goes through the following process:

• Once the match is confirmed, any participant can submit the score — and everyone gets a reminder notification after the match ends.
• Any other participant has 24 hours to dispute the submitted score (more than one player may dispute). As soon as a result is first disputed, all participants are notified so they can cast their own vote before the window closes.
• If undisputed after 24 hours, the result is automatically applied and all players' ratings are updated.
• If disputed, the score that more of the voting players agree on than all others combined is the one that counts. Only players who submitted or disputed count as voting.
• If no score reaches that majority — for example one player submits and one disputes — the match is closed with no result recorded and nobody's rating changes. It does not count against your inactivity either.
• Your rank is displayed as: Tier (Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond), Division (I / II / III), and Rating Points (0–100).
• Players who are inactive for 14 or more days will see their rating gradually decrease until they play again.
• On the leaderboard and within teams you appear under your chosen public display name — never your real name. You can change it anytime from your Profile page.

8. Teams

Create or join a persistent team to play together:

• Create a team and share your invite code with other players.
• A team is one side of a match, so its size counts players per team — not the whole match. A team size of 5 plays 5v5 (a 10-player match).
• Join a match as a whole team: your team fills one empty side in a single step. Your team must have exactly the number of players that side needs, the side must still be empty, and every member must meet the match's required level — all members join together or none do.
• Tournament registration requires a team — only team captains can register for a tournament.
• Teams are created for a specific sport — you can only form a team for sports that support team play.

9. Tournaments

Compete in organized tournaments hosted by field owners:

• Tournaments support Knockout, League, and Groups + Knockout formats.
• Team captains enter their team during the registration period. Every sport enters as a team — for a singles sport, a team of one.
• Entering is free — no reservation service fee is charged for a tournament.
• The organizer books the fields when they publish the tournament, so the dates, times and venues are set before you enter — you never book them yourself.
• Rest between matches follows the sport's own rule, and no team is ever scheduled before the match that decides who it plays.
• When registration closes the draw is made and the bracket is built for the teams who actually entered; any field time the smaller bracket does not need goes straight back to the venue.
• You are told when your first match is set, and again each time you go through — with the opponent, the date, the time and the field.
• All tournament matches are ranked and contribute to every participating player's competitive rating.
• The organizer records the results. Ratings are applied two hours later, so a mistyped score can still be corrected before it counts.
• If fewer teams than the organizer's minimum have entered when registration closes, the tournament is cancelled and everyone who entered is told.
